ICE WANTS TO BUILD MORE PRISONS.

ICE is buying warehouses to turn into prisons.

The Department of Homeland Security is planning to purchase warehouses in 23 US cities to turn them into jails to kidnap, cage, and disappear immigrants.

Two are planned for Georgia.

The warehouse in Social Circle, GA plans to imprison 8,500 people at a time, almost double the capacity of the largest current ICE detention center.

The smaller processing facility in Oakwood, GA plans to hold 1,500 people.

The new sites would double the amount of people ICE can cage.

Right now there are more than 73,000 people in ICE custody, which is a new record. The additional 23 sites would give the agency another 76,500 beds.

The ICE director aims to make these detention centers “like Amazon…but with people.”

Georgia already ranks fourth in deportations among all states.

It’s already home to several detention centers, all of which have seen preventable deaths, sexual and physical abuse, medical neglect, and other human rights violations.

These warehouse prisons could be built in 60 days.

A Navy software named TITUS allows ICE to connect with military contractors to accelerate construction.

The government wants to deport 1 million people a year here on out.

To do this, they contract platforms like Penlink’s Webloc and Palantir’s ELITE to map our communities.

They will come for our neighbors to meet their fascist quotas.

BUT WE CAN STOP THEM.
